And yet people keep voting for them. 🤷🏻‍♂️

“Trump’s economic record is only slightly worse than that of every Republican president before him. Here’s the historic truth that everyone needs to understand: The America economy does worse under Republican presidents. Since 1933, the U.S. economy has grown nearly twice as fast on average under Democrats.”

1/2 "And yet people keep voting for them."

Isn't it time you guys learned how they're managing that and how to use that to your own advantage?

If your assertion is correct (and from this side of the Atlantic it certainly appears that the entire world *including* the USA usually does better with Dems in control there), why are you unable to communicate that effectively to voters?

May I suggest that you look at the rural / urban divide?

@GuyNamedBrian

2/2 And here is the crux: people won't look rationally at their own situation. All they see is that "we in the sticks are left behind while you Dems in your cities get rich off OUR produce, our work, our resources." This breeds envy and disillusionment and "they don't care about you but we do" sells even if it's a lie, as long as everytime the GOP takes power they can STILL point the finger at the Dems when they achieve nothing.

@GuyNamedBrian so the important thing is to find a way to defang that narrative.

How? Well, NOW you're asking the really difficult question, probably better answered by someone who understands your country much better than I do.

@rozeboosje Many Americans are strangely immune to facts and reality; so long as they can “own the libs” and/or hurt anyone who’s not straight and white, they don’t seem to mind what happens to themselves. Maybe that’s starting to change as support for the current regime crumbles, but we’ll have to see what happens.
