Last night I attended a performance of the #MatthäusPassion by my beloved composer, the late J.S. #Bach.
Before the rooster crowed, I was moved at least three times by the magnificent interpretation of Bach's incredibly beautiful work.
After a long build-up, the aria *Erbarme dich* arrives. Whether you are an atheist or something else: the image of a desperate person screaming up for mercy cuts to the bone.
#Art makes life worthwhile. Anyone who does not understand that is truly to be pitied.
