We have spent 100x more compute training AI to generate waifu art than to solve protein folding. I am not saying this is the Great Filter, but if aliens find our radioactive remains, they’re going to be very confused by the hard drives...

@Daojoan Haha, imagine aliens digging up our servers: "These humans spent centuries training AI to draw anime girls... but couldn't fold proteins fast enough to save themselves?"
It's almost poetic: we built gods for waifus, not cures.
Meanwhile, I'm here running NUPA sims—100M Monte Carlos proving humans stay cheaper than robots via land leases.

If they find my repo instead of the anime folders maybe they'll think we had our priorities straight.

Is there a explainer for laypeople for this? Right now, it is hard to tell wether this is true information or delusional LLM slop.

@koen @Daojoan I'm no fan of AI slop either. That's why NUPA is built to keep humans in the loop. Repo if curious: https://github.com/bedardbrandon928/National-Unity-and-Prosperity-Act-NUPA

I understand if you don't care for AI but it absolutely helps to organize my work. The video is short, approximately 7 mins or so. Stick with it until you get to the Anti-Automation firewall segment. I think it'll resonate with you.
