This is #Daruma, a Japanese doll based on the image of an ancient monk who supposedly meditated for so long that his legs fell off. Daruma has become an emblem of #resilience, #tenacity, and getting things done. No matter how many times you push Daruma over, he rights himself. He endures many setbacks, but he cannot be vanquished.

When you see an image of Daruma, remember: you are #free, you are stronger than you think, and you cannot be pushed around by bullies and #tyrants.

Happy (and hopefully safe) #NoKings Day.

@Soozcat

We used to have finished-Daruma , when a project started, we'd paint in one eye, when the project was finished, we'd paint in the other and go out and get pleasantly drunk and shout banzai a lot

@tuban_muzuru I picked an image with only one eye colored in for a reason. In this context, we still have some work to do. But the goal has been set!
