Roma, 28 mar. (askanews) - Dal corteo in corso a Roma contro guerre e riarmo, Ilaria Salis, eurodeputata di Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra, denuncia "gli accertamenti" effettuati stamane nei suoi confronti in albergo, nelle ore precedenti alla manifestazione, definendoli un episodio "gravissimo". Nel suo intervento collega la mobilitazione alla difesa del diritto internazionale e dell'autodeterminazione dei popoli, annunciando iniziative per chiarire fino in fondo la vicenda.
"Questa mattina sono stata svegliata - ha detto Salis - per non meglio specificati accertamenti che si sono prolungati più di un'ora anche dopo che io ho fatto presente che sono una parlamentare. Poi ho appreso che la Questura di Roma ha dichiarato che questi controlli non erano da collegarsi alla manifestazione di oggi, bensì erano da collegarsi a una segnalazione che proverrebbe da un Paese terzo, da un Paese estero. Questo, di fatto, rende quello che è accaduto ancora ancora più grave perché non siamo di fronte a un'iniziativa della Questura di Roma, ma a un'iniziativa internazionale, un'iniziativa europea di un Paese che si permette di mettere in dubbio quelle che sono le prerogative di una parlamentare che è stata eletta da 178.000 cittadini italiani e questo è un fatto estremamente grave perché vogliamo andare fino in fondo in questa storia, per cui attiveremo tutti i canali, tutte le possibilità anche a livello istituzionale, per affinché non si ripetano più fatti del genere che sono gravissimi perché come oggi succede a me, domani potrei succedere a chiunque dei miei colleghi".
"Siamo qui - ha aggiunto - per manifestare contro le guerre che ci sono nel mondo e contro gli imperialismi che le scatenano, perché noi non vogliamo un mondo di sfere di influenza, noi vogliamo un mondo in cui i popoli si possano autodeterminare, possano cooperare e vogliamo difendere i principi più basilari del diritto internazionale che oggi sono messi continuamente in discussione".

Then I learned that the Rome Police Headquarters had stated that these checks were not to be linked to today’s demonstration, but were to be linked to a report coming from a third country, from a foreign country. This, in fact, makes what happened even more serious because we are not facing an initiative by the Rome Police Headquarters, but an international initiative, a European initiative of a country that dares to doubt the prerogatives of a Member of Parliament who was elected by 178,000 Italian citizens and this is an extremely serious fact because we want to go all the way in this story, so we will activate all the channels, all the possibilities, even at an institutional level, so that such things do not happen again because as happens to me today, tomorrow it could happen to anyone of my colleagues.”
