Here’s hoping. The band aid that banning teenagers from Social media needs to be replaced by a proper fix for the problems engineered, cynically by Meta and others.

Needless to say, our ‘governments’ will not be quick to act.

Exactly, we need to start legislating for individual privacy and kill data trading.

But then there are lot of things we should be legislating against - fossil fuel dependence, billionaire meddling and the answer is always we need to ditch freidmanism, get a better batch of politicians, watch dogs with teeth and functioning media reporting.

@Wen it all exists in a field of advertising incentives, and it took years of someone being mistreated for it to get where it is. 11 years.

Tech policy lags regulation. Profits buy policy.

It could have been done more quickly with feet.
And even now, new problems are showing.
