I have now spent almost a week with the #1Password app, and I have to say, I really don't know how I lived without it. It's one of my top apps I use every day, like Fast-SM and FastPlay. Since I got them, I haven't used anything else for the tasks at hand. What a year it has been in terms of discovering apps.

I have created some JAWS scripts for 1Password, but the scripting is minimal because it's not especially necessary. The one tip I can pass onto anyone is to use Quick Access, Control+Shift+Space. There is enormous power behind that keystroke, perhaps more than you would think.
It allows me to open a secure note in a virtual view, and it does not have the disadvantage of opening it up in the full 1Password app where focus is often lost when moving out of, and into, the app. I did script around that focus issue but I've removed it because of Quick Access.
I can also launch web sites from Quick Access and copy usernames and passwords for areas where the browser extension is not supported.

As I say, I have modified JAWS behaviour a small amount in some areas But I would recommend the app to anyone. In summary, it gives me anything all in one place: web sites I need to launch and log into together with all my notes. I've got a lot added to it now to make it very functional both for personal and professional use. I know principally it is meant to be a password manager, but it's saving me a whole heap of time in many other areas.

@brian_hartgen I've been in love with it for many years, glad to see you finding such utility. I haven't gone family mode with it yet but keep considering.
@brian_hartgen I'm 100 percent agreeing with you there. I was forced to move to 1 password and subscribe for it just because a service that I don't even use or subscribe for was going out of circulation, dropbox passwords. They sent an e-mail to me some time ago saying that it was discontinuing soon. In fact, it was sent in error as I have only the £9.99 subscription without the passwords. However, I have got just the same to say about the app. Only thing is, I had no idea it was even usable with Jaws, as I am using just VoiceOver here. The app I'm using mostly is the iPhone app, but I have recently got a keyboard so I will remember the quick actions keystroke. Obviously if I'm using the touchscreen on my iPhone it's not a relative keystroke, but there must be some voiceover rotor for it.
@brian_hartgen I have used it often on for quite some time. I have played with other password managers and come back to it every time. I need to go in and clean things up. Remove duplicate entries, fix some titles so that they read the way I want them to, actually do some serious house cleaning, but I plan to stick with it and consider it my password manager of choice.
@brian_hartgen CTRL+Shift+Space is new to me. Is that similar to or the same as CTRL+Backslash?
@VE3RWJ It has no connection with control backslash at all. In fact control backslash these days is rarely required. https://support.1password.com/keyboard-shortcuts/?windows

You can use your keyboard to accomplish many tasks in 1Password that normally require a mouse or trackpad.

@DavidGoldfield @brian_hartgen Do you know if 1password has any advantage over KeePass specifically?
@clv1 @DavidGoldfield @brian_hartgen I've used it to store identities, passwords, debit cards, API credentials, SSH keys, 2FA auth, and passkeys. Can keypass do all of that? Especially the part where it's an SSH agent.
@x0 @DavidGoldfield @brian_hartgen It cannot do API credentials, pass keys and SSH natively. Maybe there are plug-ins, but I haven't needed to investigate so far.
@brian_hartgen @DavidGoldfield I’ve been using it since I was in high school & love it. The @1password team is great! They don’t even mind if you contact them here or via email. If you need assistance or have a question, they’re always willing & able to help. About a year ago now, I migrated from @bitwarden & the team behind 1Password got on Zoom with me & walked me through the whole process, including but not limited to working through some #a11y issues. That, right there, is why I continue to use & highly recommend them. I seriously hope they keep that trend up because that is to be commended!
@JessDail That's great that @1password was so committed to giving you the support that you needed. I've used their software for several years and I'm a very satisfied 1Password customer. It's definitely made my digital practices much safer and more secure.
@DavidGoldfield @1password I'm also willing to assist when & where I'm able. If anyone needs help or has questions, just ask! :)
