yahoo news | Lake Tahoe estate sells for record $125 million in Incline Village, Bloomberg...
A lake‑front estate in Incline Village on the shores of Lake Tahoe has sold for a record‑breaking $125 million, the highest price ever recorded for a property in the area, according to Bloomberg. The deal, which closed earlier this week, also included an adjoining parcel valued at roughly $7 million and was conducted off‑market.
The buyer was an entity linked to Steve Jurvetson, the veteran Silicon Valley venture capitalist and early Tesla investor who sits on SpaceX’s board. The seller was a company connected to investor Gene Pretti. The transaction more than doubles the previous Lake Tahoe‑area record of $62 million, set by another Incline Village property.
The sale underscores the draw of the Nevada lake community for ultra‑wealthy buyers, including tech executives and celebrities. Recent high‑profile purchases in the region include a $42 million mansion bought by Google co‑founder Sergey Brin, as well as homes owned by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle co‑founder Larry Ellison and Workday co‑founder David Duffield. Jurvetson’s real‑estate footprint in Incline Village continues to expand, having acquired a separate mansion for $46 million in February.
