@VeroniqueB99 also, batteries exist and are only getting better. You can't store the energy from gas without losing a lot in the process. Someone may counter that by saying gas is already stored, and sure, in an extremely volatile chemical that we will never have enough of, keep fighting over, and poses national security risks. We can have enough panels and turbines, we don't need to fight over them, and there's no risk to them if you keep the supply chains clean. It's a no-brainer!

@wombatpandaa @VeroniqueB99

Gas is not renewable. It never was. It never will be. It will run out in linear time.

The sun and wind are effectively infinitely renewable. Their ubiquity is one of the reasons they hate them. You can't monopolize them.

They can play whatever word games or make whatever bad faith arguments they like, but the facts are the facts. They are running out of oil eventually. And they know it. They are going to lose. They just want to strangle the entire world on the way down.

@jrdepriest @VeroniqueB99 I like that line - "Their ubiquity is one of the reasons they hate them. You can't monopolize them."
I think that's very true, and is a concise explanation of why we receive so much pushback from the bourgeoisie on pursuing renewables. They see the earth as an investment to be exploited and little more. We see it as our home to be protected. The two are diametrically opposed viewpoints, but only one of them is sensible.
