Not much time for tooting.
Spent 3 hours trying to cancel an Optimum mobile line that no one uses. Four phone calls and a million times saying no to any new offer.
At the same time my husband spent four hours on another line trying to get the VA to pay him the mileage he has been owed since last December.
Eventually we prevailed at both winning the cancellation and the promise that the $600 in unpaid mileage will move from under manual review to scheduled for payment column.
I get the impression that the federal government would rather spend money on excursions instead of veterans.
What a hassle.
Excited to protest tomorrow.
I'm motivated.

I will be a protest marshal helping with the security. My daughter and grandkids will be there protesting.
I am going to try to get my husband set up on the virtual protest as he isn't well enough to participate in person this time.

So true, also, that the military would rather spend money on weapons rather than the warriors that wield them and return from wars with wounds seen and unseen.

My spouse is currently reading a book called *The Wounded Generation* about American soldiers that returned from World War 2.

Her father, who died before I met her, returned from the war and dived into alcoholism trying to deal with its aftereffects. And he was never wounded in combat.

War is evil. ☹️

@NorcalGma2 I also had phone call success today! I've been trying to schedule with a new specialist doc for a week, but my call always got put in a queue and then rolled over to after-hours support (which can't do scheduling). But this morning I got through and I have my appointment.

Yay for our phone call successes (even though they should never have been so difficult). 🎉
