I reckon we get the hat out have a whip around see if we can get enough money together to convince Jacinda back to run the country for about a year to clean up this mess because no way Chippy can hes as useful as a wet paper bag.

I don't understand why Labour is sticking with NZ's least effective political leader. When he does hit the headlines it's in the Woman's Weekly instead of serious media. We hear plenty about him leaving his wife and kids and marrying his floozie and the subsequent fallout from that mess.
But no policy. No passion. No soul.
Chippy lost the last election and he can easily do it again.
@BobLefridge yip I actually think Nats will get back in now, Chippys chance to shine and be an alternative to the governance started 3 weeks ago and he's offered absolutely nothing to the #NewZealand voters.
They need to boot him and give Kieran the ball because he may be young but you can tell hes passionate and hasn't been jaded by politics yet he could be a real game changer imo.
I was incredibly disappointed to hear Chippy saying yesterday he’s not going to criticise the government’s actions or plans to deal with the fuel crisis as he would probably be doing a similar thing.
FFS Chippy, the #NZPol govt is doing nothing. NZ media please stop wasting our time asking for Chippy’s reckons and instead speak to someone with intelligence, integrity and a f’kn plan. Chlöe Swarbrick.
As much as I believe Chippy is not the ideal candidate I also believe he is a far better option than the status quo. I fear targeting Chippy as the problem will not help change the government.
As once a long time Labour supporter and now Green voter for the last 3 elections I instead focus on encouraging anyone unhappy with Chippy or the neoliberal influences within the Labour Party to party vote Green.
Sending a strong message to Labour and growing the Greens presence in parliament, hopefully government is the only way of achieving a more positive outcome for Aotearoa NZ.
I have strong links with the old Labour Party too, in fact Phil Goff once told me Labour needed more people like me and that I should run for Labour. I laughed and said the last thing the Labour Party needed was me as a candidate.
The reality is old Labour no longer exists, it has never really recovered from the neoliberal hit job by finance minister and Act founder Roger Douglas, the way I see it for you as a Labour loyalist is, under MMP, you’re not abandoning Labour by party voting Greens particularly if like me you live in an electorate with a strong Labour candidate and can vote ❤️ & 💚 you are actually helping Labour become truer to its origins.
Not sure if Phil Goff would agree but then again that’s why I would have been more trouble for Labour than he would have anticipated. 😉
Btw, I still believe Jacinda Ardern was by far the greatest NZ prime minister in my lifetime… so far.
@jeremy_pm @BobLefridge yip my top 3 are
1: Savage
2: David
3: Jacinda
Helen got bumped when she was so pleased at the government surplus all those years ago and didn't go hmmm maybe we should tax people less or reinvest that in the New Zealand community rather than leave it siting in the bank.
I loved David Lange and had the pleasure of spending time working with him on a post office video not long after he became PM, unfortunately David was unable to prevent the neoliberal sabotage of Rogernomics which ended socialism in this country and has left a huge stain on Lange’s legacy.
In contrast Savage will always hold the mantle as the Prime Minister who introduced socialism to NZ and created the egalitarian socialist country that I still fondly remember from my childhood.
