#kdenlive Linux users: do you get actual 60 fps playback in the timeline?

i have hardware acceleration enabled via VAAPI (Intel GPU), my project is set to 60fps, and i have tried original, transcoded-to-edit-friendly-format, as well as proxy clips. the fps overlay always says 60, but the playback is visibly more like 30.

not a hardware issue, since Davinci Resolve Studio does 60fps without the system breaking a sweat

@ahihi i think hardware acceleration is just like, broken? in kdenlive? i think?
or at least i see it provide literally zero benefits over hardware decoding on my modern amd gpu

@ahihi lolno. I used to 60fps in olive but not kdenlive and certainly not after adding any effects
