gods save us from the college freshman edgelords who refuse to select any race/ethnicity categories in surveys and instead type in 'IRISH' (all caps).

You cost me 5 minutes of data cleaning, but I guess you'll add some good variability when you tell us how you feel about trans people.

Actually, in two separate projects (and I'm sure more in the past couple of years) I've seen a little group of people--most men, so far--who go out of their way to refuse to answer race and/or gender questions, then write in the 'other' category things that pretty much answer for them. They cost me some time and annoyance, and I guess feel good that they struck a blow for anti-wokeism (in a recent survey half a dozen men out of 800 did this, and wrote things like "I am a MAN", "cisgender is a stupid made-up category," etc.). My first reaction is irritation or amusement, then I think something like Now I know two things about you: your gender identity and you are an asshole. But I wonder if I could leverage this: make it slightly easier or more enticing to pull this move, and thus identify (potentially? IDK) a small subgroup of really angry anti-woke folks. Could be useful or insight-producing.
