Morning ☔🌧️🌬️🌈

A vicious north westerly wind, brought driving rain, a little Sahara sand from across the Mediterranean.

Midway through my stretching as the rain hammered against the glass, I wondered if the rain might stop - it did stop, but 10 mins from the end, pah!

Today I stayed very local, turning a 5k loop into 11km, by going around and around.and up and down. It was kinda fun, with some unintended repeated hills, and very very wet!

@askekammer I actually quite enjoy running in the rain, I just dislike setting off in it mind - especially when I not quite upto full operating temperature, but once i'm going and soaked it's fine...obviously when its wet that slows everything down, but there is puddles to splash through, so that's a good trade off. Yes the rainbow was fab, I popped out onto the seafront just in time for that shot, and the rain was absolutely honking it down, and the wind was howling, but worth a brief pause

@robchapman @askekammer Sounds like a decent enough run! Getting moving when it's pouring rain can be tough. I'll stand at the door for a couple of minutes until I am ready, but once I'm out, and get wet, I'm fine.

@WTL @askekammer it was really enjoyable...people in their waterproofs and rain jackets, with wrecked umbrellas, looking fed up and me in shorts, a short sleeved shirt and my Vibrams... literally soaked to the bone, grinning like a bloody idiot, talking and laughing to myself. I only saw a lady walking her dog, we exchanged pleasantries and one other runner, long pants, waterproof jacket, hood up, looking fed up...I said, "morning" all cheery, they looked at me like I'd escaped the asylum 😂
