Currently I am using #Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS and would like to fresh install 26.04 LTS next month. But unfortunately, some of the #GNOME extensions are not yet compatible with the latest GNOME version 50. Hopefully, before the release of the stable #Ubuntu 26.04 LTS version, all the extensions will get updated.

In my experience you cannot rely on the extensions being updated in time. Better check individually and/or wait with the update.

I don't use many extensions. But, I am specifically looking for an update for the #gsconnect extension by @kde which I use all the time.

From their Github page it seems the extension is regularly updated. The current version works for Gnome 46 to 49 (So, chances are it also works for Gnome 50). And they offer a nightly build, so you can test versions before the official release. I'd say you're quite safe to go for Gnome 50 🙂
Or run it in a virtual machine before switching in real life.
