This is a good initiative - Laser make decent #tools - I didn't even realise they had been around 50 years!

In UK #apprentices are expected to swallow the cost of buying their own tools, which is partly why there is a shortage of #mechanics in the whole country (the toolkit is worth about £500)

@vfrmedia Filming an industrial safety video, we drew an acid suit from stores, and filmed an apprentice wearing it. Stores refused to take it back in case it was contaminated. We had no use for it, and gave it to the lad. “Do you know how much these things cost? I’m working in that plant next month and I was going to have to buy one!” It’s nice to make someone happy.
