Thursdays at #PAXEast are always the slowest day, so I received "only" 31 #StreetPass hits on my #3DS.
So many new pieces in Puzzle Swap! Also, what the heck was "Dillon's Rolling Western," that it merited a 3D Gallery picture?

@GamesMissed Oh wow. People are still carrying around 3DS systems with wifi enabled?
I don't carry mine around much but I always keep wifi off to save battery just that much more.
Perhaps I should bring it around with wifi on more after all. 😆
@nazokiyoubinbou It's a major video game convention here in Boston, so I'll get more StreetPass hits there than for the entire remainder of the year.
That being said, I also get 2 to 5 StreetPass hits every time I attend the MIT Flea Market, which happens seven weekends every year. I have the sense that they're becoming slightly more popular again? I have talked to a few people over the past year who said that they'd dug their 3DS out of a drawer, replaced the battery, and played again.
@GamesMissed The 3DS really was a wonderful system. Quite a lot of just the right balance of a lot of things. The 3D gimmick wasn't really a selling factor, but there are some darned good games on the 3DS.
I'm still really sad that Nintendo decided to have the Switch completely replace it and not do a 3DS2. I love the Switch to death (it's probably my favorite console!) but I don't consider them to be the same markets. How am I going to put my Switch in a side pocket and carry it around?
@GamesMissed "Only 31?!?!" 😂 Even in its heyday I don't think I ever got more than 20 something at a single event.
I would say those are impressive numbers by any measure.
The Dillon games were one of the last big 3DS downloadable titles. I think there were several of them. For some reason Nintendo seemed to promote them pretty well at the end of the 3Ds's life.
I have one of the demos downloaded but it's been ages since I've played it. It was pretty fun though.
@Judeau I received just over 100 StreetPass hits last year at PAX East, on a Friday, so we'll see how tomorrow goes. But 31 is still enormous, it's more than I'll ever see anywhere else.
I will check out the Dillon games, I'd never heard of them. Thank you.
