Oh WILD, they cast Ellen Helinder in the first episode. After what happened to her character in Exit, I need a second to process that.
I think the best part of this show is that there is a small portion of people that will watch it because they think Joel Kinnaman is hot, only to find his character is a PPE wrapped *freak*
- Fever Ray to a Santelmann character having a crisis will always be a 10 out of 10, every time
- I wish TV shows would stop trying to make corpses look pretty. Where is the waxy yellow skin! The lividity!
- Anders Danielsen Lie playing an abusive, religious, pseudo-intellectual is INSANE when he usually plays much softer characters, this really is a peak "cast actors against type" show.
If I have one critique of this show it's that Norway does *not* know how to do urban decay - their attempt at trash on the street/graffiti/homeless people is like looking at a rich kid in torn jeans and a dirty t-shirt. The perils of being a functional, stable country!
