@loewe hello, like in Mastodon, any soundless MP4 will be displayed as a GIF

@statuzer aah so I need to save the gif as an mp4 and attach it? in Mastodon web I can just pick from the Windows Emoji / GIF picker (Win+.) and it gets added
EDIT giphy Chrome extension works, too, guess I can live with that

@loewe @statuzer played around some more, actually the Windows GIF picker does work, but only if there already is some text in the input field ... no text - GIF opens in a new tab, with text - GIF gets pasted / added to the post as expected 🤣

@loewe sadly (but happily), i do not own any windows device anymore, so I can't test this strange behaviour :)
