All stuff moved from A to B with calm help from @dtl and two great non- English guys with a van.
Pros:
- new landlord seems a decent bloke. Even offered to help with the move
- Three different neighbours said they were sad to see me leave the street and wished me well
- the new studio flat is a perfect rectangle which means I have a variety of layouts available to me
- nothing broke

Cons:
- London property is still insane, both renting and buying. The "new" national and old London government has done nothing to help regular people keep a roof over their head. Utility costs are insane, too.
- So much admin: drivers license, electoral roll, etc.
- At the age I am, I shouldn't feel guilty for having books, an arm chair and dishes
