Multi-model (or "ensemble") forecasts run major global weather models many times with tiny variations in the starting conditions to see how much they align (or diverge) over time. If the models closely agree, confidence is higher; if they spread out, the forecast is more uncertain. They're also great at highlighting best- and worst-case scenarios for precipitation totals.
