Damn those dastardly environmentalists luring Putin to attack Ukraine and then Trump to attack Iran just to put the squeeze on honest fossil fuel brokers.
"Fires are exactly what the fire department wants"

Except for imperialist zionist Israel with their dream of a purely Jewish country and they feel the current boundaries can't hold all the Jews they want to invite.
Extremist religion at its worst, over and over and over again. There are always some and every now and then they get too much power and cause death and misery.
The Telegraph is a deeply unserious newspaper.
@aadeacon @ReggieHere @georgemonbiot.bsky.social
I disagree. The journalism (not opinion pieces) is often very well informed and a higher standard than, say, the Grauniad.
Enough to marvel at the sub-editors ability to pick a sentence they can construe as being inline with Charles Moore's worldview. And if they can't find one they simply make one up. Often completely destroyed if you read the article.
I'm a Grauniad subscriber but refuse to put money into Telegrope's pockets.
Wow, WTF?!
@georgemonbiot.bsky.social if there was going to be one silver lining from all this awfulness, yes, I want this one.
Energy is not at all scarce, just *that* kind is.
@evan Agreed, that's definitely not a good outcome
If only the United States had freakin' listend to Jimmy Carter, how much bloodshed and capital might have been avoided?
THE OIL CRISIS,
Started by a big oil supported pedophile moron and his criminal gang for self enrichment and perverse pleasure.
Thanks to maga + Israeli Ghouls and the ministers of death who encourage selling weapons to or fully support Genocide.
Wish I could afford an electric car.
My household electricity is provided to about 80% by solar and battery storage.
Panels on a shabby lawn.
@Kerplunk @georgemonbiot.bsky.social
Uhm! Small short range electric cars are dirt cheap and cover 90% of mobility requirements.
No, you don't need to explain why you think this not an option for you.
Energy scarcity is the reality, or did they miss that part? Yeah they missed that part.
The cheapest energy is the shit we never (dig up and) burn.
The chief absurdity of the modern economy is its express preference to find the most energy intensive, which is to say the longest supply chain possible and offer choices based on that.
Local is a practical constraint that brings communities within planetary boundaries. Human invention should focus on it.
