😡 Putin is earning at least $760m a day as the war in Iran drives up demand for Russian oil, - The Telegraph

Kremlin oil and gas revenues are set to double this month, from $12bn to nearly $24bn, boosted by soaring prices and US sanctions waivers, according to the Kyiv School of Economics.

Even if the war ends soon, Russia’s oil and gas earnings could reach $218.5bn this year—63% higher than pre-conflict projections.

@MAKS23 The war is a strategic masterstroke... for Putin.

It means he will find ways to prop-up Iran if they seem to be running out of steam. Strategically, he could justify close to that entire amount to supporting Iran and it would still be a win (Even half that amount makes something like ten thousand of Shaheds a day!).

@MAKS23
I don't believe that calculation takes into account the reported 40% drop in output due to strikes on refineries etc.

Edit. Confirmed. Also, the quoted numbers are gross revenues, not royalties or state-owned profits. And state income is used for running the country (60%+) in addition to paying for the war (max 40%). So it's a small fraction actually getting funneled into the war effort.
