When I was young I always walked by an small business office in Salt Lake City, UT USA that had an (original) Gameboy sign in the window, and one day I went in and asked what it was about. The guy told me he shipped some kind of Fish Tank sim game way back when. I am not sure the exact game, but it sounded like it was in a similar vein of weird amateur/hobby dev.

Very random.

@jdyer If it's not clear, his actual business had _nothing_ to do with games. I don't even think it was software. This was around the year 2001 or so
