What git hosting solutions currently offer free, private hosting that doesn't go into training LLM models? ... I'm looking for somewhere to push private forks of some open source projects so that I'm not actively making myself redundant 😭
@nyalld If you're a QGIS dev then you should already have an OSGeo account, and thus access to git.osgeo.org, which is a plain vanilla gitea instance without (as far as I'm aware) any LLM bullshit.
@IvanSanchez do you know if i can make a private repo there? Otherwise it's likely it'll get slurped up anyway
@nyalld Yeah, there's a checkbox to make repos private.
@nyalld If you have any issues with the gitea instance, tell @robe
@IvanSanchez Ok, sounds like a good fit! Thanks!
@nyalld codeberg.org? Not sure what restrictions are on private repos, but I think they are still Good Guys wrt llm training. But I may be wrong...

@nyalld QGIS-AU** or OSGeo Oceania could fund one, just sayin' ;).

Or what @IvanSanchez said.

**maybe, not sure if it has a budget. the other org definitely does!
