CyWell, it has gotten worse as of late, with the sociopaths pulling the strings to make sure more of us end up to be sociopaths. There have been other times in history that were way worse though, albeit in geographically limited areas. (See: Ivan the Terrible, Genghis Khan, General Sherman, Hitler, Pol Pot etc... all emerged from a ludicrously toxic culture.)
