I’m a guest of the airline once more today, but all opinions are my own.
The IFE system was dark when we boarded and I feared it may be busted for the flight. Was able to download a few hours worth of YouTube videos which is super impressive of Verizon 5G at LAX since usually I don’t get a signal at all inside 787s.
That was one heck of a pushback. I wonder why we had to me moved so far out of T7?
I know the 787’s dimmable windows get a lot of hate but I do love having the ability to dim them a bit to cut down on the IFE screen sun glare without having to completely close a physical blind.
I think it’s genuinely a great #PaxEx feature.
All United widebodies still have the old @[email protected] Ku band Wi-Fi system installed and yea it’s time for this 🚮 to go. Sub-megabit speeds with 3+ second latency, it’s nearly unusable.
Going to be an interesting chat about connectivity at AIX next month.
Hey wow @[email protected] the meal out of LAX was way better than the junk out of EWR. “Chili garlic roasted chicken breast with thyme fingerling potatoes and charred broccolini.” I’d get this again! And then cod fritters before arrival. Good stuff.
And of course the ice cream sundae.
