okay #cartoontheory time again! spoilers for #theowlhouse and #amphibia

so im currently (re)watching the Amphibia finale. in s3e17, king Andreas fights in a giant mech suit. this mech suit looks a whoooole lot like the golems from The Owl House (one of them is named Jean-Luc)

on its own this might not seem super interesting, but there's a lot of Owl House cameo's in Amphibia, and also some the other way around. And in a meta-way, they're both Disney shows, and im pretty sure also have some overlap in people working on the show

i like to believe that the world of Amphibia, The Owl House, and Gravity Falls (yes), are all the same world. They seem to share pretty similar ideas of how inter-dimensional-travel works and a similar connection between magic and science.

i could totally see that the conquerors of ancient Amphibia visited the world of the Boiling Isles, and appropriated the magic there for their own gain

and all 3 shows have a common concept where interdimensional travel is possible, it just required a *lot* of energy, which can be created with magic, although it is rare, and it can also be done with science, but human science just isn't comfortably capable of it yet

if the 3 shows are connected, i would assume Amphibia takes place last in the timeline, as it features a globally-known invasion event, that seemingly hasn't happened before, so it'd be weird that nobody in GF or TOH universe has mentioned it. Where exactly GF takes place is harder to say, since the events of both TOH and GF are pretty isolated on the Earth side, so it's possible they weren't globally known.

another fun trivia thing which i honestly did not expect, is that Rebecca Sugar has a cameo in the Christmas episode of Amphibia. Amphibia also seems to have a few voice actors from Steven Universe.

The VA crossovers aren't that weird since a lot of VA tend to work freelance I think, so they're not bound to a studio or channel (since Amphibia is Disney, and SU Cartoon Network)

But i really didnt expect the Rebecca Sugar cameo since i havent heard before from there being any link to the SU crew and GF/Amphibia crew? but i could totally be missing something
