I'd love to read this article, but it's stuck behind an aggressive paywall and I can't get past it with either archive.org or archive.today.
I understand that newspapers need to find a way to be financially viable.
But it's a real problem that all the AI slop and fascist content on the internet is free, while much of the news that educates people about why AI slop and fascism are bad is paywalled.
Also, the fact that all the shit is free is not a coincidence.

I agree that it's a real problem that the economic model of internet news right now favours AI slop and fascist content. Not sure what the solution is to that.

Also, I'm not sure how these gift links work. Maybe only the first person who clicks on it can read it? If so, then I'll send it to you via DM.

A notice on the popular paywall-bypass website Archive.today said that access is blocked "by decision of public authorities."

@jik why are you sending me a link to the TechCrunch article? I am literally viewing that archive link. Are you not able to see it where you are?
@990000 Yes, that is what I just said. I am unable to access archive.today, I have not been able to access archive.today for several days, and as the TechCrunch article I linked explains, this is problem is not unique to me.
@jik I will just post it for you

@990000 You don't need to do that someone else already posted a gift link in the thread.
