I don’t understand #FunkoPop.
Their figures are nowhere near resembling the characters they depict. It’s always the same plastic form with the same face, just differently painted. Even #Lego made a better job in this.

@dhry sure, but this is just an exception to the rule. Take Marty McFly, add a bird, and it's Lionel Messi. I'm not trying to tell it's bad collectibles in general. I'm just saying that I don't see them as collectibles.

@yehor Oh, neither do I. And I agree that plenty of them look dumb and not like what they're intended to mimic. But collectibles are what they are because people make them that way. Whether they're insipid or not. The passage of time makes it worse :-)

@yehor I somehow feel that this uniformity is the appeal. Not that I have any. But I can imagine being a collector of things and one or two don't fit on the shelf or the DVD box designer changes format in season 6...FunkoPop is there with uniform plastic dolls that never judge you.
