Do you want your computer to sound like an 80s #scifi device with lots of bleeps and bloops and swoops? Are you running #linux?

This is my recreation of an old program from nullsoft called 'beep' that does just that. The more stuff your computer is doing (cpu, mem, network, etc) the more it beeps and boops. Enjoy!

Are you on macOS? I've tried to create a port for homebrew. I don't have a mac to verify if this worked well, but you can give this a try:

brew tap jamestomasino/beep
brew install jamestomasino/beep/beep

Users are forgetting the mechanical noises that computers used to make. It was weird going from mechanical hard drives to SSD. SILENCE. Or the old school floppy disk noises. Or the dot matrix printers. At least you knew it was doing something. Now we sit there wondering if it's 'doing something'.

@SnowBlind2005 yes! exactly. i want feedback. :) let the vivaldi offices run amok with beeps

Combined with my mechanical keyboard, this can help make me _truly_ insufferable at work!

@jaybird110127 @tomasino No, but I'd love to hear it in action as I love beping souns.
