@Debian .. "On the unfortunate need for an "age verification" API for legal compliance reasons in some U.S. states" .. Legal compliance my left testicle... If #USA legislators want #StateSurveilance .. they can fork the code, and roll their own. The rest of the supposed #Free world say #No #FuckOff !! they have no jurisdiction over me.

A supposed #FOSS #FreeOpenSourceSoftware Operating system, with #Global Impact, has no legal business forcing the agenda of any petty State's officials surveillance agenda on anyone outside of that State's jurisdiction.

Demonstrably resist BS political pressure and interference, or limit that to it's source jurisdiction, so other #Debian users, who had no hand in electing these clowns, are not affected.

#Resist or be labelled compliant and complicit.

@erstwhile

back in the day the community printed #PGP code on dead trees to circumvent export restrictions.

#Debian at the time had a separate non-us repository that held software which had US restrictions.

Reading about age verification I miss this rebellion :(
