It seems like my Fedora Silverblue came with no video player or music player installed by default? And no question while setting it up about which players I want to install either?

Is this how it's meant to be? If so, I guess I have my answer to my previous question of whether Silverblue is meant for more technical users. Unless the thinking is that normal people only watch videos and play music in the browser and with streaming apps?

@forteller not technical people, inverse. A reduced selection of native packages as a given, selected for "bare necessary" value to everyone, because everyone works with exact same base image. Then you are expected to install flatpaks for other software. (Instead of distro packages, with overrides only if truly necessary.)
@forteller It would be great to be able to install a video player in the base image but it will be a poor experience as they will not be able to play a lot of patented media formats. So instead of giving users a confusing experience, we let them install VLC or something else from Flathub.
