Microsoft Word ist raus: Deutschland macht ODF-Format zur Pflicht

Deutschland hat im Rahmen seiner neuen digitalen Infrastrukturstrategie Deutschland-Stack das Open-Document-Format (ODF) verbindlich für Dokumente in der öffentlichen Verwaltung festgelegt. Microsofts Word ist an dieser Stelle also als Quasi-Standard raus.

Skype? Really??? OMG. #grommunio has Jitsi integrated (works like a charm!), but you may also want to try @OpenTalkMeeting if you need more and special features.

I'd switch to an alternative in a heartbeat but alas I'm just a humble civil servant in one of the most "beloved" federal agencies in all of Germany (please don't doxx me) and nobody cares what I (or our branch) think of our IT situation.

TBF it is Skype "for Business" not regular old not-supported-anymore Skype and we will switch to MS Teams sometime in the future but I don't think that's really an improvement. 😅
