Wondering has anyone attended any of the bigger Maker Faires and what your thoughts are? Worth a trip for it specifically? Either in USA or abroad. #MakerFaire #Maker #MakerSpace

I went to a Maker Faire in #Bogota #Colombia 2023 - it was great! Some highlights: Kids made a prototype motorized scooter for a classmate with a disability - Got to play with an infra-red camera - A physicist presented how solar panels work at the molecular level, and recent advances - community, new friends & connection! I recommend going!

@jrovu Oh thank you for the feedback! That DOES sound fun. Now it's a case of when and which one. :) There's one in the Bay Area (USA) later this year, but it could also be an opportunity to travel abroad - we are retired now, and travel is on our bucket list. :) Currently we're homebodies because we've both had working lives and no time to play before, so have turned a good portion of our home into a grown-up maker space. :) No rule says we must have a grown-up house, yes. :) :) :)
