the price? absolutely fucking everything.

this game subverts so many modern computer game tropes. open world? empty. progression system? none. mook enemies? just bosses. reward for defeating those bosses? nothing. NPCs? nonextant. combat? one button. hero protagonist? villain. controls? godawful. and i'm sure there's more.

in every practical sense, this game should not be fun to play, yet somehow it is. it's partially vibes, sure, but there's more to it. deserves further study.
