@Irishmasms for what it’s worth, I have carried a metal card carrier through the entrance without the bag scanner about 5 million times today.

@Irishmasms I stopped going to the local Anime convention after they started requiring a bag search to enter the "main" venue. This added the unfortunate consequence of forcing a bag search upon returning from the connected "overflow" venue/hotel.
