I plan on throwing some challenges your way when I get stuck.
At the moment, I'm so grateful you pointed out the idea of relying on the shell. I intrinsically knew that it is so often the answer, but I think I needed to be gently led back there after too many years of relying on editors having tunable knobs for everything.
The other thing I got stuck on was silly comfort things, which simply took me remembering to dive in and play with the 'new' way as a challenge.
My regex-fu is undoubtedly going to improve. :)
It's remarkable how much you can do with a good regex, or a powerful :g command. 🥰
So I'm learning!
