New favorite coffee shop since moving to East TN: Scooter's Coffee. The experience, at least at my location, has been worlds better than Dutch Bros.

Am I the only one that doesn't go to coffee shops for coffee? XD

I mean, I'll occasionally get a Café Mocha, but I'm usually there for some tea and ambiance. 😄

@rl_dane

Scooters and Dutch Bros are drive through chains. I guess you could park in the parking lot and jam out while sipping a chai?

@terminaltilt

Heh, it'd feel like a crime to keep the car running for AC most of the year.

When the weather isn't too hot and I'm waiting to get gas or whatever, I'll cycle my engine on and off every couple minutes to keep using the cold/heat still in the AC coils/heater with the engine off. I'm surprised nobody else seems to have thought of that, at least around me.

When it's only 5°F hotter or colder than what's comfortable, your car's AC/heater can keep things very comfortable for a good five minutes or so without the engine running.

Luckily, I don't have to wait for gas as long, as the local costco has increased the number of pumps.

@rl_dane

We are about to get a Costco later this year. I am looking forward to it. I had access to one years ago before moving and totally took it for granted.

As far as gas is concerned, right now Kroger fuel points are basically the reason I can still afford to drive around. My last fill up from below E was $0.11 after the discount. My family is all huddling our points together and trying to only shop on Friday to get the 5x points.

@terminaltilt

Man, the pizza is even better. One slice of cheese or peperoni and a drink for $3. Dang. :D

Gotta love them loss-leaders. The cheap food and gas are the reason I keep my membership. XD
