@CyclingGuide @uxMark here's an issue I ran into last year. I used your app to bike to an unfamiliar location, but several streets were closed along the way due to construction. The app doesn't correct on the fly, and I got lost. It took me much longer to get there than if I'd used Google Maps, and in fact, I had to switch to Google Maps to find my way out of the strange neighbourhood. Can the programme be made to adapt routes on the fly as necessary?
@Shanmonster @CyclingGuide Great feedback. I’ve run into this myself. Long term we need to get access to reliable road closure data. Shorter term, we have a manual recalculation feature that we’re working on, but no ETA right now.
@CyclingGuide @uxMark very serendipitous toot, as I am in the process of discovering and evaluating online platforms for discovering bike routes and building my own routes for my own personal use. I started with the 800 lb gorilla Strava, then on to the 100 lb gorilla Ride with GPS, and on to smaller but fascinating platforms. I will look into yours as well.
@AtanasE @uxMark Oh, cool! Do keep in mind that we're limited in coverage right now, but we are slowly growing πŸ˜€πŸš΄πŸΌβ€β™€οΈβ€οΈ
