Alright. We have confirmed our messages are being received, it was a nod to the first ever messages exchanged over the ARPANET, which was later developed into the internet you are using right now. That was fun. Please let us introduce ourselves proper.

We are Control Refresh. We are a few individuals who came to the same conclusion, that today’s internet is too fast, too blurry and unfair to most. When terabytes of information is being shared daily over the internet, feed algorithms decide what matters more, which gossip deserves more attention, which songs should get more streams, and who will make more money than anyone else. New Usain Bolt every single day, put up against regular people.

In a social aspect it is never going to be fair/right, and most of what is being shared over the internet will go unnoticed and forgotten, as if it never mattered in the first place. That sounds bad, right? We agree.

While we don’t have the authority to change the system that governs the internet, we wondered what we, as a group, can do for people who populate the internet with anything they create. Sharing is a human quality, a quality that’s not being respected and appreciated enough. We want to try and change that, making little differences at a time.

What we offer is intended to be a community led initiative, which at this initial stage, aims to offer a spotlight to anything that projects human creativity*. Anything that’s meant to be shared and improved upon. Art, music, photography, videography, software, video games, words of wisdom….well, you get our point by now. We don’t intend to do promotions, just want to show love for things we appreciate. No advertisements, we use uBO. ;)

Over time, as we grow, we intend to do a lot more. So, we hope you’ll join us in this journey, because uhh…..a few of us can’t do everything. Any and all contributions and suggestions are welcome.

(Tagline? Ending remarks? We haven’t decided on one yet. Wait, here’s one…)
