È stato conferito dalla Procura di Roma l'incarico al medico legale per eseguire gli esami autoptici sui corpi di Sara Ardizzone e Alessandro Mercogliano, i due militanti anarchici morti nel crollo di un casale, nel parco degli Acquedotti nella parte ricadente sul via di Capannelle alla periferia della Capitale. Secondo l'ipotesi investigativa i due stavano assemblando una bomba. L'esito degli esami autoptici è un passaggio che chiarirà in parte cosa sia realmente accaduto all'interno del casale, se vi fossero altre persone presenti e quale fosse l'effettiva carica e natura del mix esplosivo utilizzato. Si ipotizza che nel composto siano stati utilizzati anche dei fertilizzanti. Parallelamente, gli inquirenti hanno disposto l'analisi dei telefoni cellulari e dei computer delle vittime, affidando gli accertamenti alla Digos.
Sul fronte politico, intanto, il consigliere capitolino Federico Rocca ha annunciato una richiesta di accesso agli atti riguardanti un immobile occupato, chiedendo verifiche su eventuali responsabilità nella gestione del patrimonio pubblico. Nel frattempo, ambienti anarchici rivendicano il legame con le due vittime, mentre gli investigatori estendono le verifiche anche sul web e ai circuiti informativi utilizzati dall'area anarchica del Fai pro Cospito. Blog, forum e profili social vengono passati al setaccio nella ricerca di contatti e collegamenti, in un'indagine che si allarga rapidamente ma che, almeno per ora, resta avvolta dal massimo riserbo. Durante le perquisizioni nelle due abitazioni in uso alle due vittime, nel quartiere Alessandrino a Roma e a Ponte Mammolo, sono stati sequestrati documenti definiti 'interessanti' da chi indaga ma sulla cui natura viene mantenuto il più stretto riserbo. Sono al vaglio della polizia anche i contatti telefonici che i due hanno tenuto nei giorni precedenti all'esplosione con militanti che potrebbero aver partecipato al confezionamento dell'ordigno. Non è stato ancora scoperto il luogo a cui la bomba sarebbe stata destinata.

During searches of the two homes used by the two victims, in the Alessandrino neighborhood of Rome and at Ponte Mammolo, documents defined "interesting" by investigators were seized, but the nature of which is kept under strict secrecy. Telephone contacts maintained by the two with militants who may have participated in the making of the device are also being examined by the police. The destination of the bomb has not yet been discovered.
