I remember seeing a post on Tumblr that was a "shortcut" to making yourself enjoy a ship that you dislike: imagine them as a polycule with a ship you do enjoy. (Given as advice to someone upset that they couldn't enjoy fanworks of a popular ship that was their NoTP.)

Think of your NoTP. Now imagine a poly relationship combining them with your OTP. Does this advice change anything for you?

Personally, my gut reaction is, (to other character in the NoTP, not the node character the two ships have in common), "Ugh, bug off, you usurper!"

...Though as I think about it more, it could probably be done well with the right writer. But that writer is definitely not me XD

@pengilly doesn't work for me as I hate the third character
