Imagine believing there are actual “ongoing talks with Iran”. This isn’t diplomacy, it’s just another day of Trump weaponizing the news cycle to jerk the markets around.
@Strandjunker just market manipulation nothing more

*shrugs* I mean I see no real reason for the Iranians to relent on any of their negotiating positions. They have no reason to trust our negotiators, they have evidence that our ceasefires aren't worth the paper they're printed on, and after we did this all 8 months ago when Trump bombed them the first time, they have no reason to believe anything we SAY could bring peace will actually keep us from bombing them again. Iran is locked in to a death struggle because we put them in that corner.

@Strandjunker As with all con jobs, the willingness of the victim to believe is crucial.
@jmax @Strandjunker
And, in this case, the _repeated_ willingness.

@Strandjunker

There are talks. In the press. Trump said bomb Iran, Iran said bomb neighbours and keep Hormuz closed. Those are talks!

@Strandjunker And the fact that the markets actually still respond to his statements shows how irrational the people making those decisions really are.
@Strandjunker So, he threatens to bomb their power plants and the market goes down. Then, he announces he's not going to do it after all, and the markets go up. You're right. That's market manipulation.

@Strandjunker @kimlockhartga

I really want to wonder who in his inner circle is profiting from all of this.

@Strandjunker The media saying that what Trump said was not deemed to be true.

Can they just say he lied?

And can 3 lies lead to eviction from office?

Why not?
