Yesterday @Viss mentioned making cold brew coffee by filling up a French press, putting the plunger half-way down, and leaving it in the fridge overnight. So I tried it:

- I think the grounds I used were too fine or something (they just floated on top until I used the plunger)
- it didn't get very strong, not sure if due to grounds or amount of time
- the coffee I used isn't awesome as cold brew

@Taffer

Coarser grounds, yeah, in my experience. I use just the same as I would for drip coffee. Or if I'm being lazy, or low on good beans, I'll use pre-ground. Also wrap the French press in aluminum foil.

@Taffer the idea is that the grounds are kept in the middle of the press so they're submerged, and you want usually 8+ hours in the fridge. ill get a pic for you of how coarse the grind i use is
@Viss def had 8+ hours so I guess it's the grind and/or the coffee 🤔
@Taffer heres the size of the grind i use, and it seems to work great
