This week’s Nuesletter came from a pattern I keep noticing. Some people are still loading up posts with tons of hashtags like it’s a growth hack… and others have dropped them completely because “they don’t work anymore.”

But neither side is really right. Hashtags didn’t die. They just stopped doing the heavy lifting.

Back then, they could push your content out. Now? They’re more like context clues. Platforms already understand your content pretty well, hashtags just help fine-tune who it gets shown to.

Also in this week’s Nuesletter, I rounded up a few trending sounds you can jump on, plus the latest platform updates, including Instagram experimenting with links in captions and YouTube pushing further into AI-generated clips.

We would love to hear your opinion on this week's edition and any suggestions on what you want to see next in the Nuesletter.
