@rewildingmag one of the projects I worked on summer of 2025 was replacing an urban alleyway with permeable pavement! This pavement allows water to seep into the ground through the concrete pavers which helps with flood control and pollution control. Hopefully we get more of those where possible, too.

I like more radical approaches (less cars, more life), but even when one absolutely wants to build a parking lot, there is just little excuse NOT to use permeable paving.
