@craiglambie42 I just use the fediverse for a couple of months and still discovering. is there any way to build a local community in the fesiverse? Apart from Instances, are there any kind of rooms?
I just saw a documentary on German TV about geo data tracking. And YES, it is absolutely neccesarry that we have safe spaces where we can just be human without surveillance.

But it looks like Mastodon have dropped that development since 2022/3 when it was on the roadmap.
I think being careful with who you post too, and who can see/ mention you in a post is the best way.
Then @ mention a bunch of people to create a "group" thread atm.
Or use a unique hashtag, that you can follow.
