@treyboudreau I love those guys, but we do need to build serious alternatives to capitalism.
@leastaction so far as I know, we don’t have a practical mathematical framework for planned economies. Capitalism does a better job at resource allocation than anything else we know, but unrestrained it becomes a “paper clip maximizer”. We need guardrails, but we clearly don’t know how to implement them effectively for economics, democracies , or machine learning.
