AdventureTenseStayed overnight in San Francisco to see a film performance at the SFMOMA today. The performance was by two friends we've known since our teens, along with a very talented sound designer/musician.

I'm living through the freefall of the middle class, resulting in sharper contrasts between the private well off, and the much more impoverished general public.
Maintained "old" things have given way to unmaintained old things, contrasting with incredibly new & well maintained affluence.
The "American dream" has given way to loitering at the door of affluence, pretending to belong, until security pushes us out.
